After a successful year in 2008, MarkPlus Festival has returned to Surabaya. This year’s event, which coincides with the commemoration of MarkPlus, Inc.’s 20th year anniversary on the May 1st, 2010, was held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Surabaya. 2000+ people were willing to follow a long queue to enter the hotel from 06.00AM to attend the biggest marketing event of the century in Indonesia after the MarkPlus Conference.

On Wednesday, March 17, 2010, the first IB (Islamic Banking) Marketeers Club gathering was held and was attended by bankers from various Islamic Banks in Jakarta. IB Marketeers Club was founded with the vision to develop Islamic Banking in Indonesia.

After the afternoon event at MarkPlus’s office, the Marketeers team continued at the Minister of Youths and Sports office at Jl Gerbang Pemuda Senayan, Jakarta Selatan. Minister of Youths and Sports Andi Mallarangeng along with Founder and President of MarkPlus, Inc. Hermawan Kartajaya signed the Time Cube that has been filled with the dreams of 22 Indonesian young adults.

On February 22, 2010, MarkPlus held another New Wave Marketing Power Lunch that took place at the MarkPlus institute of Marketing (MIM) Jakarta. Initiated by The Marketeers, the largest marketing community in Indonesia, the event was attended by more than 70 invited guests and carried the theme, “Indonesia Youth 02-22-20”. In front of MarkPlus’ office stood a giant Hyundai football that welcomed the guests’ arrivals.

Starting the year 2010, this event is one of the many events that MarkPlus, Inc. and Marketeers have prepared for the next year. Attending the event are representatives from each category of Youth, Women and Netizen. Hermawan Kartajaya facilitated the event, and Tifatul Sembiring, Minister of Communication and Informatics, attended the event as an honoured guest and to contribute to the event.
