Indonesia Branded Export Award Recognizes 5 Local Brands that Broke through the International Market, One of Which is a Popular Savory Snack among Indonesians!
MarkPlus recognizes Indonesian brands that have successfully exported products with strong brand equity. This recognition is given through the Indonesia Branded Export Award (IBEA) 2023, which was presented at The Annual 18th MarkPlus Conference 2024.
Jakarta, December 6 – Exports play a vital role in Indonesia’s economy, not only as its greatest contributor but exports also serve as a powerful tool for strengthening a nation’s brand identity worldwide. Countries like Japan, South Korea, and China exemplify this, having successfully built strong global brands alongside substantial export volumes.
In its capacity as a prominent marketing consultancy in Indonesia, MarkPlus is pleased to recognize Indonesian brands that have demonstrated exceptional achievements in branded exports. The Indonesia Branded Export Award (IBEA) 2023, conferred during the inaugural day of The Annual 18th MarkPlus Conference 2024, which was part of the 2nd ASEAN Marketing Summit, held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at the Glass House, The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, serves as a testament to these brands’ accomplishments.
Making its debut as an awards program, the Indonesia Branded Export Award (IBEA) has been initiated by MarkPlus and has received endorsement from the Vice Chairman of Trade at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) as well as the Indonesia Marketing Association (IMA).
“This is the inaugural Indonesia Branded Export Award (IBEA). With numerous local products poised to penetrate the international market, we, through a rigorous judging process, have selected five outstanding local brands that meet our criteria. Congratulations to all the winners of the Indonesia Branded Export Award (IBEA),” stated Taufik, Deputy Chairman of MCorp, as he congratulated the awardees.
This award honors both local companies and products that have demonstrated exceptional success in entering international markets based on five key criteria: (1) International Reach: the brand’s global footprint and market penetration; (2) Sales Performance: the brand’s financial performance in international markets; (3) Quantity Exported: the volume of products exported; (4) Brand Differentiation: the brand’s unique selling proposition; and (5) Brand Activation: the effectiveness of marketing campaigns in driving consumer engagement.
The Indonesia Branded Export Award (IBEA) 2023 has honored a diverse range of Indonesian brands in three categories; Food & Beverages, Automotive, and Fashion & Lifestyle. Kopiko from PT Mayora Indah Tbk secured the Gold award, Momogi from PT Sari Murni Abadi won Silver, and Beng-Beng from PT Mayora Indah Tbk received Bronze in the Food & Beverages category. Pertamina Fastron from PT Pertamina Lubricants claimed the Gold award in the Automotive category, while Terry Palmer from PT Indah Jaya Textile Industry was awarded Bronze in the Fashion & Lifestyle category.
